Tuition & Fees

The Gathering Place is intentionally small by design. Our microschool model allows us to provide personalized learning, strong relationships, and meaningful experiences that are often difficult to achieve in larger school settings.

Tuition helps support the full learning environment, including educators, small group instruction, individualized support, classroom materials, technology, facility operations, and student programming.

As a grassroots school, every tuition dollar is invested back into our students and community. We also believe microschooling should be accessible to more families, which is why we work to keep tuition thoughtful and sustainable while maintaining the quality, care, and personalized experience our girls deserve.

Thank you for investing in a learning environment where girls are seen, stretched, supported, and prepared to lead.

Tuition Commitment

At The Gathering Place, tuition reflects a full-year commitment to your child’s learning journey. While we offer the convenience of monthly payments, tuition covers the full academic year. Our year is divided into two semesters:

Semester One: August through December Semester Two: January through May

When a family enrolls in August, they are financially responsible for tuition through December. If a family decides to leave in October, for example, tuition for November and December is still required.

Withdrawal Period -December 7th- December 19th: In December, families have the option to decide whether they will continue into Semester Two. Once a student returns on January 5, 2026, the family is financially responsible for tuition through May.

We ask families to adhere to this so we can hold space, staff appropriately, and provide a consistent learning experience for every girl in our care.

Tuition Payment Schedule

How to Pay Tuition-Families may pay tuition through Step Up EMA or directly through our Omella payment link.

Paying Through Step Up EMA-Families using Step Up can log into their EMA account and go to the Marketplace. Search for The Gathering Place Learning Lab and select us as your provider. Once selected, families may use available scholarship funds to pay tuition.

Paying Through Omella- Families may also pay tuition directly through our secure Omella payment link. Omella accepts debit card, credit card, and ACH payments. Please select the monthly tuition option that matches your child’s enrollment program.

If There Is a Step Up Delay families may pay directly through The Gathering Place Direct Payment Link and request reimbursement from Step Up. This helps keep your child’s tuition account current while Step Up resolves the payment issue.

A 10% late fee is added if tuition is not paid within 15 days of the due date.

Questions about tuition, payment options, or scholarship payments, please contact our business manager for assistance.

Important Tuition Reminder

Tuition is billed annually, even when families choose to pay monthly. Monthly payments are a payment plan, not a month-to-month enrollment agreement. Families who enroll in August are financially responsible for August through December tuition. Families who return in January are financially responsible for January through May tuition. Please carefully review the above Tuition Agreement.

Tuition Policies & Family Agreement

To keep our program sustainable, well staffed, and thoughtfully planned for the girls, it is important that families understand how tuition, payments, and program fees are structured.

  • Our tuition is based on the full academic year, August through May. While we offer monthly installment options, families commit to the full year.
  • If a family withdraws by December, tuition is due for August through December only. After December, the full year’s tuition, August through May, remains due if a family withdraws mid-year.
  • We accept Step Up funds. If Step Up does not cover tuition, families are responsible for direct payment via debit/credit card or ACH. We are happy to provide a receipt to submit to Step Up for reimbursement.
  • We offer a 30-day grace period for tuition payments. Beyond 30 days unpaid, a student may not continue attending until the account is resolved. Two months unpaid will result in withdrawal.
  • If tuition is more than 15 days late, a 10% late fee will be applied.
  • Our after-school program begins at 3:30 PM. If care is needed after 3:30 PM, additional pricing information will be provided. We will invoice you weekly for after care hours.
  • Families will have the option for their girl to participate in premium City as Classroom experiences throughout the year. These experiences will be charged separately, and details will be shared in advance.

Financial Support

We do not want finances to be the reason a family walks away from The Gathering Place.

Families who need additional support may apply for financial aid. Aid is limited and based on availability, but we encourage families to reach out early so we can explore options together.

If tuition feels like a barrier, please send a note to L.Trim@TgPlearninglab.com before making a final decision. We want to work with families whenever possible.
